concept poster for the 2036 Olympics that would be hosted in Egypt.

The silhouettes of Africa are made using colored plastic sheets cut out to the shape and then scanned and layered digitally, the colors of the continent represent the colors of the Olympic rings and the black layer is made of ink dyed Calque paper to achieve similar transparency to the others while adding minimal paper texture to the piece.

I chose to feature the whole continent of Africa to emphasize that if Egypt hosts the Olympic games, it would be the first country in Africa to do so.

poster for the 2036 javelin throw event, this poster features the hand painted background of the javelin thrower in front of the sun which is featured to convey the importance of the sun to Egypt in ancient times, the sun is also rimmed by the colors of the Olympic rings. The painted piece is scanned and edited to give an ancient rustic and paper like look to pay homage to bardy "باردي". I chose to keep the typography in this one simple as to not overshadow the background and let the Javelin throw event be the star.
